Sir Les Patterson 1974 – 2023

The weekend brought the sad news of the death of comedian Barry Humphries creator of fictional characters Dame Edna Everage and Sir Les Patterson. Hugh Johnson was commissioned to photograph Sir Les for a Global BT campaign which won many awards within the advertising industry. Hugh remembers Barry as being not only hilarious to work with but also a charming and delightful man. Hugh was always referred to as Huey, the genial lens man. Barry was a true comic genius who will be greatly missed. RIP Sir Les Patterson.
