Built in the shadows of Dungeness Nuclear Power Station, and wedged between Rye Nature Reserve and a military training camp, Dereck Jarman's iconic Prospect Cottage is the perfect place to spend an hour or two as the golden sun rises in the east. A 5.30am start was well worthwhile. No one else in sight other than a police surveillance team keeping a watchful eye on the power station and its surrounds.
